Micah Reitan - C-Team Head Coach
Coach Reitan joins the staff this fall as a first year C-Team coach. Coach Reitan started coaching volleyball in the fall of 2019 at Alderwood Middle School. In his two years as the 7th grade coach, the two 7th grade teams had a combined 21-1 (.950) record. Coming out of Covid, in the fall of 2021, he moved to Meadowdale Middle School (his neighborhood school) and coached the 7th grade team. The team went 6-2 (.750). Though he is extremely proud of the accomplishments on the courts, he is most proud of three things: the relationships formed, become strengthened, and have grown over the years between one another, their academic standings, community service and citizenship, and the continuous love and joy the game of volleyball brings to those he has been fortunate to coach.
Coach Reitan is very familiar with the Meadowdale community and culture. He taught ELA at the high school (1998-2003), his two children graduated through the 3 Meadowdale Schools (Isaiah, Class of 2019) and (Julia, Class of 2022). He also coaches the girls’ 7th grade basketball team and is the girls’ head track coach at MMS. We believe Coach Reitan will be a great bridge between the middle and high school volleyball programs.
